Offenses of forgery of private documents, forgery of official documents, or intellectual forgery

The offenses of forgery of documents are criminalized by the Criminal Code, in Articles 320-328, which provide for penalties for forgery of official documents:

Article 320: Forgery of official documents

“Falsification of an official document, by forgery of the writing or the underwriting or by altering it in any way likely to produce legal consequences, shall be punishable by imprisonment from 6 months to 3 years.” as well as penalties for forgery of documents under private signature.”

Art. 322: Forgery of privately signed documents

“Falsification of a privately signed document in any of the ways provided for in Article 320 or Article 321, if the offender uses the falsified document or entrusts it to another person for use with a view to producing a legal consequence, shall be punishable by imprisonment for a term of 6 months to 3 years or a fine.”
